Poor bugger... but I'm curious why the brand and model of bicycle is relevant - other than to suggest the rider wasn't your run-of-the-mill Halfords Appollo cyclists?

Are we to assume that because it's a premium-branded premium-range full-suspension mountain bike that it's somehow more interesting...

The fact remains a cyclist has sustained some nasty head trauma and is in hospital... whether or not the bike cost a few K is irrelevant.

Hope he gets well soon.

Strange that the Argus don't mention if he was wearing a helmet and instead tell us the type of the bike !

Dear Argus Editor, can we have an update on the accident that happened at the junction of The Drive / Church Road the other month? The one where the truck ran over the cyclist's head.

I'd like to know how the cyclist is doing and if the driver of the truck will be prosecuted.

Did he have lights on the bike and was he wearing a helmet? The make and model of the bike is irrelevant I agree.

Let us hope he was obeying the road signs and had not transgressed lane markings. What make of helmet was he wearing? Serious Cyclists who own this sort of Bike, generally are of the heads down and driven persuasion, I hope he is insured.
