Pedestrian, 75, killed in Crowborough crash

A 75-year-old woman has died after being hit by a Mercedes in Crowborough
A 75-year-old Crowborough pedestrian has died after being hit by a grey Mercedes last night.
The accident on the A26 Eridge Road north of the Boars Head Inn at about 5.50pm closed the route for several hours.
The woman was delcared dead at the scene.
The 72-year-old male driver from Wadhurst was unhurt.
PC Matthew Harman from East Sussex Roads Policing Unit said: "We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet come forward to please do so.
"We would also like to hear from you if you saw the Mercedes prior to the collision."
