The family of a murdered teenager have paid tribute to their “little star”. Former Heathfield Community College pupil Amelia, 19, died on November 7. Amelia used to live in Horam but left in 2009. She was killed in Stevenage and a man has been charged with her murder.

Her mother Amanda said: “You gave us joy for most of your short life, you made us laugh you loved to dance and sing from a young age, always the entertainer - our little star.

“I will hold our biggest shared memory together of the day your little girl entered the world and I was there, she is a credit to you. A beautiful happy darling girl who will be looked after and loved with you looking down on her, you are a fantastic mummy.

“We love you and will always remember the fun times rest in peace my sweet child.”

Her father Laurence added: “She loved and cherished her baby.

“She has touched a lot of hearts in her lifetime, and shall I'm sure be held forever in the hearts of those people. Loved by many, will be remembered by many and will live on for all our lives.”

Her sister Scarlett said: “Love you, as I know you loved me.”

Friends also recalled her. Natalie said: “I will remember dancing around to silly songs and doing impressions of people in films and TV - messing about as children and getting up to no good.”

Rob said: “You were loud, you were full on and you were fun. You are and always will be Amelia.”
