A259 in Peacehaven reopened after pedestrian injured

A busy road has reopened after a serious accident.
Heavy traffic was reported after the A259 South Coast Road in Peacehaven was shut earlier this evening.
Witnesses reported a pedestrian was injured in a collision with a vehicle near the New Priory Veterinary Practice at the junction of Keymer Avenue at about 7pm.
Emergency services attended before the road was reopened at about 8.15pm.
Sussex Police was not available to confirm details about the incident.
