Campaigner are looking for donations to help children keep warm this winter.

Coats For Kids has been set up by Emma Daniel, who works for Brighton Community and Voluntary Sector Forum.

Brighton and Hove mayor Bill Randall is among those supporting the campaign.

A list of places where people can drop off clothing and coats will be published soon.

The clothes will be redistributed through not-for-profit organisations throughout the city which work with families.

However cash donations are not being asked for as the charity does not want to compete with other organisations in the city.

The idea has already caught on, with people in Norwich and the Midlands contacting the group about how to set up schemes.
