Man dead and woman seriously injured in crash

UPDATE: A man has died and a woman has been seriously injured in a crash. 

The 55-year-old local man died following the crash on the B2099 at Ticehurst at about 7.40am this morning.

A 29-year-old woman in a different car suffered serious injuries.

She was taken by air ambulance to Kings College Hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them on 101 quoting Operation Chaffinch.
