Police seek witnesses to late night Brighton assault

Police investigating an attack on a man are urging two potentially crucial witnesses to come forward.

The victim was assaulted outside the Easy Bar in Cranbourne Street, Brighton, in the early hours of October 26.

The man briefly lost consciousness, but recovered having suffered just a bump to the head.

Detective Constable Vicki Denman said: "One witness has told us that as she was attending to the victim, a man and woman walked by and said that they had seen two men running off after the attack.

“We would very much like to talk to them and I urge them to contact us on 101 quoting Operation Redshank."

The incident has been linked to a more serious assault that happened in the same area that night which left a 36-year-old man with a serious head injury.
