Woman hit man in road rage attack in Tesco Express car park

Police are investigating a report of road rage in a Tesco Express car park.

A man who was about to leave the car park in Little Ridge Avenue, St Leonards, in his blue Subaru had his exit blocked by a woman driving a red Citroen Saxo.

Both of the drivers got out of their cars, had an argument and it is alleged that the woman hit the man.

No hospital treatment was required and both parties left the area.

PC Jane Donnelly said: "A member of the public reported this to a member of staff inside the shop. If you were involved I would like to speak to you as you may hold information which can aid our investigation.”

Call Sussex Police on 101.

Why on earth then are the police investigating? It was a no injury collision except between two people not vehicles.

seriously ??

so imagine you and I have an argument which results in me hitting you. As long as you don't need actual hospital treatment then it's just peachy with you, is it ?

Read the story!
It's because a member of the public reported the incident that the police are obliged to look into it.

If a strange woman hit me, I would assume she is a feminist, lefty type and ergo wants equality and has a dream catcher etc.

I would therefore punch her in the nose.

However, if my wife hit me because I forgot to feed the cat or something, I'll let her hit away because men shouldn't hit women!!

But I love the cat so wouldn't forget to feed her. And my wife isn't violent in the slightest so wouldn't hit me.

She hit me once by accident however. I made her jump in the kitchen and she turned and swiped my across the chest with a tin opener. It hurt a little, but that's life I guess.

The tin opener is now the spare one we keep ion the camping rucksack. We have a shiny new one these days. Sainsbury's £7.99, so it's not a cheapy!!

I think the Police should only investigate if the victim (the man in this case) complains to the Police. In reality I can't see a man telling the Police he was hit by a woman - he would feel too embarrassed and they might laugh at him.

What is there to investigate? The identities of the man, woman, and witness are unknown. And it seems unlikely that the assaultee is going to press charges. It isn't as if the police are short of work.

Love the way people here questioning the 'worth' in involving the police - watch those same hypocrites in future when theres a story about a man hitting a woman...

(e.g, "Oh, its the end of the world, all men are violent, all women are saints, etc etc," yawn).

My first thought is She blocked his way because she knew him and wanted him to know she had seen him.

Sounds like someone was caught out and got slapped for his troubles.

I'm with you - if no complaint was made then what's it got to do with anyone else?

On two ocassions recently I've seen old men approach women and berate them only for the women to bite back, not literally but the men have been left reeling.
Once was in a B&Q car park where a grumpy old pensioner berated a lady for driving too slowly around the car park. She told him that the car park was busy and children were about but he wouldn't let it go and he moaned on and on at her following her into the store. I watched this play out until she eventually shouted at him for being an old **** and he sloped off.
The second time was at the Asda petrol station in Hollingbury where another old boy started on a young woman with a couple of kiddies accusing her of queue jumping. He had a right foul mouthed rant at her and she cried at the pumps and the kiddies began crying. Another woman got out of a car and started on the old bugger and he too sloped off.
