A school caretaker is giving pupils a glitzy Christmas with these dazzling decorations.
Kind-hearted Peter Apps has dipped into his own pocket to create a disco Christmas tree featuring a series of giant mirrorballs.
The 66-year-old has spent about £600 on the decorations which currently sit in the corner of Coombe Road Primary School’s main hall.
This is the ninth year the caretaker has created a Christmas display for pupils.
In the past, he has shelled out more than £1,000 on decorations.
Mr Apps, who has been caretaker at the Brighton school for the last 20 years, said his latest creation took five weeks to plan and four hours to construct.
He said: “I saw this giant mirrorball on sale in Ipswich on eBay. But having looked into the health and safety of it I realised it could be a bit dangerous if we hung it from the ceiling.
“Sometimes when I do these decorations they don’t come off but sometimes they get a real wow reaction from the kids.
“When I set it up in the hall there was a huge cheer when the lights came on.”
