New sections of Shoreham footbridge are put into place
A film showing the building of the new footbridge has just been released.
The new multimillion pound crossing at Shoreham will provide a link for pedestrians and cyclists across the River Adur.
In the video there is footage of the foundations being installed on the river bank as well as shots of the old pedestrian bridge in the last few weeks before its closure.
There is also film of the shuttle bus which is carrying more than 1,000 passengers a day between Shoreham Beach and the town centre.
The service will remain in operation until the new bridge opens to the public in August 2013.

What happened there?
I never saw such large water features on the Levels redevelopment plans.

When they have finished building that bridge they may want to come into Brighton and build a bridge over the brand new lakes been constructed on the level.

ter not criticse it then.
I expect few comments from the usual biased commentors, who would be wading in if the scheme was in B&H.
I am looking forward to riding hand-in hand with Maxwell's Ghost all the way from Stanmer Park to Shoreham Beach next Autumn to celebrate their connection by new cyclepaths and lanes.
