A woman has been arrested after two men were stabbed in Brighton.

She was arrested on suspicion on GBH after they were stabbed at a flat in Lavender Street in the early hours of this morning.

Police and paramedics were called to the flat at 1.22am where they found the two men with injuries.

They were taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment and later discharged.

Detective Sergeant Duncan Elliott said: "This was a serious assault and obviously very alarming for the two victims. All three of those involved are known to each other and this incident was contained within the flat."

A 50-year-old woman from Brighton remained in custody this evening.
