Police are trying to track two men wanted in connection with a university protest against MP which turned violent.

Sussex Police are keen to identify the two men who attended a protest against a speech by Hove MP Mike Weatherley at the University of Sussex on Wednesday November 14.

The protest of more than 100 people turned violent and members of the Hove MP’s staff were injured when they were pelted with vegetables and stones and pushed at by protestors.

A 24-year-old man from Brighton has already been arrested on suspicion of affray in relation to the incident and has been released on bail until January 18.

Detective Constable Sophie Tullett of Brighton and Hove CID said: "We are continuing to investigate this incident and are appealing for these men to contact police to help us with our enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Pool.

But was there actually any violence? From two of the videos I've seen of the incident you can't see anything thrown or anyone get attacked, just Weatherly being ushered into a police van. Hmm.

funny how we make instant judgements about people, in this case just on the basis of a couple of photos, they may well not be yobs and both have very hygenic habits, but for me its nose ring that does it, an albert I could of accepted, in fact anything other than a pig ring, definately based on that he's a wrong un,

You wouldn't have got away with that if he was black. But tes his body shape and poise is very ape like. I would suggest these 2 haven't evolved as far down the fully human road as most others which would explain why their behaviour is neanderthal. The man with the nose ring looks like he should be in a farm or a zoo. Again he doesn't look like a civilized person. My guess would be that their brains are quite small. What I can't understand is why men would want to look like that. They can't have any luck with the ladies can they? Are there women who find men with nose rings and ape postures attractive?

Couldn't agree more

My experience of these sorts is very similar. Posh kids, privileged upbringing, choices and a comfort blanket etc.

Then they attack the very things they have enjoyed. Again from experience 9 out of 10 end up cocooned in the comfort that the family wealth provides.

Never met one I like, typically scum.

It is because they had everything on a plate as kids, they think society owes them what they want, they dont want to pay rent so they squat, they dont want to work. They need to grow up and take responsibility for themselves and not throw their weight around like spoilt brats about what they do and don't want.

Ha Ha! You gotta love these comments.

I would agree that the nose-ring doesnt do alot for the bloke in the foreground but last time I checked it wasnt an imprisonable offence.

Another Sussex Police stunt - likely to go the same way as the notorious "wanted" images posted after the March for England protest in April.

8 months on and no action taken on any of them

So Andy you never did explain how you know for certain that nothing was thrown at Mike Weatherley. It's a simple question: Were you there? At the moment you're just coming across as a liar who just made this up to try and defend the protesters.

Reminds me of Gaz Scott in that respect, spews out a load of nonsense, gets challenged and found out and then maintains 'radio silence'. Perhaps they are one and the same?
