TOWIE fans upset as Mario fails to make any performances at Worthing panto
11:40am Monday 17th December 2012 in News
Mario Falcone has failed to turn up to any performances of the Wizard of Oz at Worthing Pavilion Theatre
The Only Way is Essex star who is scheduled to be in panto this month failed to make the weekend performances after also missing the opening night on Thursday, December 13.
The Argus reported that Mario Falcone had failed to show for the opening night on Thursday of the Worthing Pavilion Theatre’s Wizard of Oz production because of “filming commitments”.
The 24-year-old also missed this weekend’s performances leaving fans “angry” and “disappointed”.
Becky Paine, 40, from Durrington, bought tickets for her daughter especially to see Mario.
She said: “I’ve never called a newspaper before but I’m just so angry.
“The only reason most people were there was because he was in it. The boys wanted to take the mic and the girls were there to flutter their eyelids at him.
“I understand that he has filming commitments, but the lady at the theatre told me that he only has one line on stage anyway.
“I think it is really misleading because he is on all the posters and has been marketed as star of the show “My daughter was devastated.”
Mario’s manager, Mark Thomas, said that his client should be in Worthing for today.
A spokeswoman for Worthing Theatres told The Argus that disgruntled fans could get in touch to arrange for tickets later in the month.
Call the theatre on 01903 206206.

My daughter is in the show and the organisation from the outset has been a complete shambles. She had her first performance yesterday and turned up for the show having never even had a dress rehearsal or costume fitting for all of her outfits!!
Blame for this should be directed to Paul Hammond productions rather than Worthing theatres. I would suggest that if they want to keep their integrity they should avoiding using Paul Hammond in the town ever again, they couldn't organise a party in a brewery!.
As for Mario, most of his 'part' is pre-recorded with him just saying Hi to his fans at the end. So not much missed there really anyway.
Such a pity that Paul Hammond productions have decided to treat the public with such contempt. Perhaps they should have secured a 'real' celeb to play a PROPER part in the show.
