The wife of motorcycle stuntman Eddie Kidd has been charged with domestic abuse.
Samantha Kidd has been charged six counts of assault by beating after a “prompt and thorough investigation”, Sussex Police said.
Mrs Kidd, 44, of High Street, Seaford, was charged over allegations of assualts between July and December.
Her husband has been confined to a wheelchair since a stunt went wrong in 1996.
Police said Mrs Kidd had been bailed on condition she does not contact the male victim who is known to her, or visit the area where he lives.
Mrs Kidd is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on 9 January.
