Roads between Eastbourne and Heathfield are becoming quite flooded on edges of roads - so when you drive along there's an enormous amount of water spraying out at sides of car - it's still pouring with rain so these roads will be very dangerous at night - be very careful and if possible, wait until morning.
At some parts the rain water has spread to the middle of the road.

Ferry sailings from Newhaven today and tomorrow have been cancelled for 'technical reasons'. They couldn't explain any further.

Information from the Environment Agency website about current river levels:
The river level at Uckfield Mill upstream is 1.42 metres.
This measurement was recorded at 16:45 on 22/12/2012.
The typical river level range for this location is between 0.30 metres and 1.30 metres.
The highest river level recorded at this location is 1.49 metres and the river level reached 1.49 metres on 10/02/2009.
It looks like an exception, as levels elsewhere in the county are generally in the typical range level.

Barcombe Mills, north of Lewes, has also been upgraded to a flood warning this afternoon.
The Environment Agency said:
Following Thursdays heavy rainfall, ground conditions around the River Ouse continue to remain extremely wet. As a result, river levels have responded quickly to today’s rainfall and a Flood Warning is being issued for Barcombe Mills. This means we are expecting to see flooding to property over the next few hours. Our main areas of concern are currently around Anchor Gates. However with further heavy, prolonged rain forecast this afternoon into the evening levels could become a concern downstream around Barcombe. River Levels can be viewed online at the Environment Agency website on the Adur and Ouse pages. We will continue to monitor the situation and update this Warning as necessary.
See the flood warnings for the county here:

Any idea of what happened on the A27 this morning?
Police say one car is believed to have spun in the wet conditions and was then hit by another car on the A27 westbound just after the A270 junction.
Two people were taken to hospital but miraculously police say they only appear to have minor injuries.
The road was closed until the cars were recovered.

Christmas isn't a good time for chickens. Quite a lot get a chicken instead of a turkey as they are smaller. Turkey is too big for 1 or 2 people. Better off with a frozen chicken.
