Award to help groups of young people get ideas off the ground

Bright ideas have been handed a cash boost to help make them a reality.
Four groups of young people from the Bevendean and Moulsecoomb area have received a Pegasus Award to help them get their ideas off the ground.
Set up by educational charity the Aldridge Foundation, the award was developed to help groups of young people make something positive happen in their local community.
The winners are given £500 and help from a top-notch mentor.
Awards were given to Chloe Idle and Sky Thomas, both 12, to work with Georgina Angele, from Brighton and Hove Jobs, to develop a pop-up support service for local children and young people.
Mitchell Coates and Rabbit Kiabalenga, 15, will establish a programme of football coaching and playing opportunities for local children with Stuart Christie of Albion in the Community.
Rebecca Mahoney and Megan Jacquemai, both 14, will set up a gift company, supported by mentor Clive Lawson, a vice president at American Express.
The final award went to Bevendean Activities Group which will work with mentor Sir Rod Aldridge, the chairman of the Aldridge Foundation, to develop a sustainable business model for their group.
