Trio targeted by knife wielding robbers

A pair of balaclava-clad knifemen robbed three people in two separate incidents in the early hours of Friday.

The men approached a 25-year-old man and 18-year-old woman in Bohemia Road, Hastings, at 4.08am.

They headbutted the man before robbing him of an iPod Nano and iPod Classic.

Just 12 minutes later the pair are thought to have attacked an 18-year-old man walking home from Hastings town centre in Linton Crescent.

The two men knocked him to the ground before punching, kicking and stabbing him in the arm.

The victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for a number of small puncture wounds to his back and a cut to his wrist.

They also took the man’s Samsung Galaxy S2 mobile phone.

The first suspect is described as white, 5ft 5ins, with a scarf covering his face and wearing a light coloured hooded jacket.

The second man is thought to be around 5ft 8ins and wearing a balaclava.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “These were two nasty attacks.

“You will see officers from the neighbourhood policing team out and about in the area to offer reassurance and deter further offences. If you are concerned or have information, feel free to stop and talk to them.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting serial 165 (Bohemia Road) or 168 (Linton Crescent) of 28/12.
