Man rescued from burning flat in the early hours

Firefighters rescued a man from his burning flat after a living room blaze earlier this morning (January 4).
The Hastings crew was called out at 5.49am after a resident reported smoke coming from a nearby flat in Old London Road.
On arrival firefighters discovered a living room blaze and rescued the sole occupant.
His condition is unknown.
