This is the face of a man police want to talk to in connection with a series of robberies across the south including one in Hove.

Jamal Joseph, 22, comes from the London area.

Officers would like to interview him in relation to four robberies in December in which foreign currency and traveller cheques were stolen from travel agents.

On December 28 a gunman tied people up at a travel agents in Church Road, Hove.

On December 14 a robbery took place at a travel agents in High Street, Hythe, Kent.

On December 10 a robbery took place at a travel agents in King Street, Sandwich, Kent.

On December 7 a robbery took place at a loan/cheque cashing shop in Barnet, North London.

Detective Chief Inspector Eddie Fox, from Kent Police, said: “If anyone knows the whereabouts of Mr Joseph please contact police immediately. If you see him do not approach him, make a note of the time and location and call police as soon as possible.”

Luis Christo, 20, of Lomley House, Tulse Hill, London, was arrested on December 31 as he boarded a plane to Lisbon at Gatwick airport. He has been charged with four counts of robbery and four counts of possessing a firearm whilst committing an offence.

Christo appeared at Canterbury Magistrates’ Court and has been remanded in custody until Wednesday, January 9.
