The A27 is set to be closed until 8pm this evening after a skip lorry overturned.

The Causeway outside Arundel train station has been closed since the accident at 11.15am on Sunday morning (January 6).

The road has been closed between the Causeway Roundabout and Crossbush.

Two other cars are thought to have been involved in the incident.

A man was taken to hospital and an elderly couple needed medical treatment after the accident, but no one is thought to have suffered with any serious injuries.

An eight-mile-long diversion has been set up via Ford to Littlehampton, but traffic has been choas around the area for most of the day.

HGVs have been advised to use the A259 via Bognor.

After the debris from the skip lorry is cleared from the road Highways Agency staff expect to have to re-tarmac parts of the road, which has been damaged by the accident and because of fuel and oil leakages.
