Shoreham resident wakes up to find two burglars in his home

A resident woke up in the middle of the night to find two burglars in his house.

Two young men had broken into a house in Cross Street in Shoreham at about 3am this morning but left the scene empty handed after waking up the occupant of the home.

Officers scoured the area but were unable to find the suspects.

Scenes of crime officers will now investigate the home for clues, anyone with information should contact Sussex Police on 101.

I think they mean Cross Road in Southwick. Pretty much runs straight from the lights at Kingston Lane/Old Shoreham Rd to Southwick Green.

No wonder the suspects were never found, they were looking in an imaginary road in the wrong town ;)

Good bit of reporting or is it a good bit of police work. Its definitely NOT Cross street as there isn't one.

They had to leaved empty handed after being found. Surely that's discrimination against burglars going about their stated business. Greens will give them a handout.
