Much ado about nothing.
increase the speed of a body of water by 1mph and the volume moved without any increase in height is 20 times greater, winterbourne stream was culverted through the grange in 1968/9 to ensure efficient movement of water down to the railway station end and into the ouse, it has worked without fail since, in fact its nice to see some water in the stream it's generally a trickle or dry in summer, meanwhile are the kingfishers still around the stream on the railway land?
