Teenagers will be offered instant advice and information on sexual health through a new app they can access on their phone.

The app has been launched as part of the Free2BMe campaign raising awareness of sexual health issues.

It can be used by people too shy to ask questions face-to-face or by those who may have had a recent sexual experience and need information quickly.

Free2BMe is a joint campaign that has been run by East Sussex County Council and NHS Sussex since the end of 2010.

It already uses Facebook and Twitter to reach out to teenagers across the county but has now introduced the app to make sure as many people as possible can get access to the information they want and need.

The ideas is to make them better informed about sexual health, the risks and the dangers, and helping them to make better informed choices.

It is also aimed at reducing sexually transmitted infections and teenage pregnancies.

The free new app has been designed to be downloaded onto smartphones and contains plenty of information as well as signposting young people to where they can get further advice, information and support.

It also includes a quiz game to test sexual health knowledge.
