A council leader is to be grilled on how a town hall budget of more than £700 million will be spent.

Brighton and Hove City Council is currently consulting on its plans for the 2013/14 financial year.

Ahead of a decision being taken by all 54 councillors in February, the local authority is asking locals to have their say on how to balance the books.

Tomorrow between 1pm and 1.30pm, council leader Jason Kitcat will be answering questions from the public about the budget.

Tim Ridgway, The Argus’ local government reporter, will be asking the questions.
