Over Christmas and New Year our reporters put you to the test with The Argus Christmas Quiz – and now we can announce the winners.

There were fantastic prizes up for grabs for the overall winner plus the winners of each individual category – news, entertainment and arts plus sport.

The news category was the first to appear and Caroline Henderson from Hove will be able to enjoy an afternoon tea for two at the Waterhouse Restaurant within the Hilton Metropole plus a family ticket for Drusillas, Alfriston.

Annette Radford from Brighton will be treated to the Goodnight Mister Tom production at Theatre Royal Brighton plus £50 towards an authentic Italian meal at a Donatello Group restaurant in Brighton after winning the arts and entertainment round.

Jacqueline Collins, also from Brighton, will be receiving a family ticket to a Brighton and Hove Albion football match and a Sussex County Cricket Club game after getting the most answers right in the sports round.

The know-it-alls who entered all three categories were in with a chance to win a weekend family travel card – for two adults and two children, from Southern Railway, and four tickets for the top London attractions EDF Energy London Eye, the Sea Life London Aquarium, London Dungeon and Madame Tussauds.

Annette, who won the arts and entertainment round, entered all three rounds and got the most answers right, taking home the star prize.

We would like to thank all our readers who entered the quiz. You’ll find the answers to the questions below.
