Red panda settles in to new Sussex home

This cheeky chappy is the latest exotic addition to an animal park.

Eighteen-month-old red panda Tibao is now settling in at Drusillas Park after arriving from a French zoo.

Having served his time in quarantine, preparations are being made to move Tibao into his new home next to the prairie dogs in the Easter holidays.

Head heeper Mark Kenward said it took a couple of weeks for Tibao to settle in properly to the park near Alfriston but since then his confidence has grown tremendously and he is now eating with gusto and responding well to the keepers who care for him.

Such is his appetite, that the zoo is appealing for donations of Tibao’s favourite food, bamboo.

Donations of any phyllostachys is fine, although phyllostachys nigra and phyllostachys aurea are Tiboa’s favourite.

Anyone with donations should go to the site’s visitor services office in the car park and ask for Mark or Sue.

Very cute but there are cuter animals in my opinion.

In no specific order

1. Baby Elephants

2. Baby Hedgehogs

3. Baby Hippos

4. Baby Seals

5. Adult Seals

6. Labrador Puppies

Mrs Touchshriek is rather fond of kittens, but I am not a cat person to be honest. They are still cute mind you.
