Man robbed in Eastbourne as he walked home from pub

A man was attacked and robbed as he walked from a pub.

It took place just before midnight on Thursday in Pevensey Road, Eastbourne.

A Sussex Police statement said: “The incident happened at about 11.50pm in Ceylon Place as the victim walked home alone.

“He was hit on the back of the head, causing minor injuries, before having his wallet, containing cash, and glasses stolen.

“Unfortunately we don't have a description of the offender but if anyone saw anything suspicious then we would ask them to call police on 101.”
