Your chance to quiz link road protester Simon 'Sitting Bull' Medhurst Your chance to quiz link road protester Simon 'Sitting Bull' Medhurst

The subject of next week’s Your Interview is Simon William Medhurst aka Sitting Bull.

The 54-year-old has become something of a poster boy for the Hastings to Bexhill link road protest, having kept bailiffs at bay for over a week with his hand-dug tunnel.

This is your chance to put your questions to the seasoned protester.

The best thing we can do is not to give this useless layabout any further publicity by simply NOT putting forward any questions.

I assume your benefits are being stopped why you play your silly games?

Let's hope your friends or family never need an ambulance quickly eh? Because without the new road, arrival time will no doubt be much later.

Ergo, if anybody other than this dole bludger dies as a result of poor link roads, Mr. Simon Medhurst will be the same as a murderer - FACT.

Dear Mr Bull
Do you have any advice for young people evaluating their future options who might be interested in following a career in protesting?

There are a lot of protesters at Portslade Academy at the moment. Would you give them any pointers?

Sounds just right for our Tarquin if it involves long periods of inactivity.

Do you ever believe a time will come that the blind numpties out there who post such ill informed nonsense about the need to destroy the countryside will realise they have been taken for a ride by the 'development' lobby?

1. Do you get benefit and was it stopped while you were protesting?.
2. Do you actually look for work?
3. Why did you think your protest would do any good given the road will be built come what may?
4. Is it fair to say people like you would ban cars if they had their way?
5. Do you consider yourself for tomorrow's generation of feckless layabouts?
6. If we don't build roads, how are we supposed to get about?
7. Do you not feel an ounce of shame that taxpayers' money was wasted trying to get you and crowd off the site?

My question:
Why do you look so smug and self righteous in your photo, when you rely on state benefits, paid for by the very people you are trying to **** up. Oh I see... that's exactly why you look so smug.

Ah... I wondered when one of the said numpties would rise to the challenge...

So tell me, said numpty...Given that virtually all road 'developments' have failed to bring in the promised economic benefits, what will you say when this one fails as well?..

Why do you feel it is acceptable to waste hundreds of thousands, if not millions of pounds of taxpayers' money in this way, when no road has ever been stopped by action of this type when construction has reached this stage?

Are you from the area, and if not, why do you feel your and your fellow 'protesters' opinions are more important than those of local people?

This man is a joke, a layabout and a waster. Him and his cronies' actions are nothing short of a national disgrace. If you've had enough of them too, remember http://epetitions.di

I think you are amazing. I cannot believe you are 54. Have you done anything like this before and where do you find the stamina?

Thank you for your courage in trying to defend Combe Haven Valley. I think it is really important to protect precious and unique natural heritage sites like this.

Beautiful Sussex should not be subject to ill-thought-out developments, like this road, and hazardous gas fracking, both of which will damage the attraction of the area to tourism as well as endangering fragile water resources.

If he's 54 then it is unlikely he will ever get a job (when he grows up) ; and being so fit and healthy he will probably be a parasite on the state for another 30 or 40 years.

Oh please, pass me the sick bag. If you've ever actully been to the area you'll understand its pretty much a swamp of questionable beauty. You'll also be aware that 50 years ago it had a railway line and viaduct running across it which had no impact on anything worth noting. How can you honestly call a project that's been planned and developed over 40 years ill thought out? I'd argue that you're resorting to mild hysteria because your grounds for objecting are ill thought out and hold less water than your supposedly fragile water resources, which at combe haven incidentally are anything but fragile, quite the opposite in fact, prone to flooding is a better description. I was a small boy growing up in the area in the 70s/80s watching them build queensway which is the preliminary link to the new bypass. I can remember the signboards outside most houses 'supporting the new spur road' as it was called. Its been a long time coming and the people most affected are in favour. End of argument, so either demonstrate the courage of your convictions by throwing yourself under a bulldozer or find something useful and productive to somewhere that actually concerns you.

It says below the comment box "do not post anything that is abusive or malicious." Why are you all so angry? Simon, it's been proven that more roads results in more congestion, more accidents and cause dangerous pollution levels that can cause health problems including cancer and can reduce a person's life by two years and history has shown that many of the new estates in Hastings suffer the highest levels of deprivation in England and the proposed 2,000 houses will be sited next to a flood plain and a dump and the austerity cuts means services are struggling to cope with severe problems due to poverty and lack of employment, so my question is who do you think will want to move in once all the protesters have been evicted?

I don't want this road. I am a resident of Hastings I enjoy using my car and trains and buses (which I would use more if they worked better) and I cycle (which I would do more if the roads weren't so dangerous, polluted etc.)
