Woman proposes to boyfriend in Haywards Heath shop window
10:00am Sunday 20th January 2013 in News
A woman has asked her man to marry her – with an anonymous message in a shop window.
The message simply reads “R, you are the best that’s ever happened to me. Marry me?”
The British Heart Foundation shop in High Street, Haywards Heath, is giving shoppers the chance to publish messages to their loved ones in the shop window in the run up to Valentine’s Day.
One customer came in with a proposal of marriage for the love of her life.
Assistant manager Tania Rudd said: “Over the month we are asking people to leave love notes in the window.
“For a £1 donation they can leave a message in the window.
“One woman came in wanting to leave the proposal.
“She didn’t want it to be right in the middle and said she thought her boyfriend would know it was from her if he saw it.
“We’ve been desperately waiting to see the man come past. It’s very exciting. We just hope he says yes.”
