Woman killed in Beachy Head plunge

A woman died after jumping from a notorious suicide hotspot.

A rescue operation was launched after the incident at Beachy Head, near Eastbourne, at about 10.15pm on Thursday The area was lit up while volunteers manning Eastbourne’s lifeboats located her body.

The case has been left with the East Sussex Coroner.
