Man charged with robbing Worthing convenience store

A man has been charged with robbing a convenience store.
Jobless Jimmy Meldrum, 31, of The Strand, Goring, was due to appear in custody at Worthing Magistrates’ Court today charged with the robbery of £50 cash and with criminal damage, at West Station News, Station Parade, in Tarring Road, Worthing just after 1pm on Friday.
A member of staff was slightly injured in the incident – no weapon was used.
