Driver arrested after road rage incident

A 25-year-old driver has been arrested after a man's jaw was broken in a road rage incident last Thursday (January 17).

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident on the A259 seafront road between Rottingdean and Saltdean which happened at about 6.30pm.

The drivers of a black Ford Fiesta and a silver Vauxhall Astra become involved in an altercation which resulted in the 35-year-old suffering a broken jaw.

The 25-year-old from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and released on bail until March 1.

Detective Constable, Ed Downes, said: "This happened when traffic conditions were busy and I am appealing for any witnesses to come forward to help establish what happened."

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting serial 1248 of 17/1.
