A Brighton man has been sentenced to six years in prison for receiving cocaine in Indonesia from a British grandmother who was sentenced to death last week.
Julian Ponder, of Eastern Terrace in Brighton, was found guilty of being an accomplice to 56-year-old Lindsay Sandiford and was sentenced this morning and fined £65,000.
He was arrested for his part in a drug smuggling ring accused of bringing £1.6 million of cocaine into Bali from Thailand last May.
His legal representative said Mr Ponder was being advised to accept and not appeal his sentence.
