Woman injured as car overturns in Ardingly embankment

A woman was injured when her car plunged off the road and into an embankment.

The woman was rescued from her overturned car in a field by firefighters following a single car crash in College Road, Ardingly at just before 9.45pm last night.

She was assisted to the roadside by firefighters after they freed her from the car and she was then taken to hospital.

Two teams of firefighters from Haywards Heath and two from Crawley including their heavy rescue team attended the incident for about 45 minutes.
