Action on empty homes in Arun
7:10am Thursday 7th February 2013 in News
Hundreds of people have been told to bring their homes back into use.
Arun District Council is targeting those responsible for properties that have been vacant for more than two years as it takes steps to solve its housing crisis.
More than 600 people have been contacted and reminded about the benefits of bringing homes back into use, such as reducing costs and generating rental income. And council bosses have vowed they will use legislation to find a solution.
Among the 33 properties to have been brought back into use following intervention is a property in Bognor which has been empty for seven years.
If you wish to report any empty homes, visit www.arun.gov.uk/emptyhomes or call 01903 737691.
