A Grammy-nominated folk band is organising a major new festival in a town after being inspired by its legendary fireworks night.
The best-selling folk quartet Mumford and Sons has announced plans to hold a 20,000 capacity two-day festival in Lewes in July.
The gig will be the only UK venue for their Gentlemen of the Road Stopover tour which will also stop off in four US towns.
The event, which will also feature top bands including The Vaccines and the Mystery Jets, will be held on the Convent Fields, Lewes which are more commonly used for stoolball and cricket teams.
Tickets for the event will be available from Friday morning. For details on how to buy a ticket see tomorrow's The Argus.
