5:28pm Saturday 9th February 2013 in News
Sleet and snow could hit parts of Sussex tomorrow.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow in eastern areas of the county during the late afternoon and evening, including Crowborough, Uckfield and Hastings.
The warning says: “Early rain is expected to turn to snow as it spreads eastwards during Sunday, especially later in the day.
“The public should be aware of the risk of disruption, particularly to travel.”
Updates will be provided on The Argus website.

Oh good. Roll out the complaints that the council didn't have staff out catching the flakes as they fall so the roads are clear instantly, and how other countries are never affected by snow no matter how much falls. So before the expected retread of all those comments please have a look at some pictures of Saturdays storm in the US and Canada that dropped 60cm in a day and see how clear their roads are and how happy they are carrying on as though it never appeared.
Many of the pictures I've seen of the American storm show people getting down to clearing their own paths and roads rather that just sitting in front of the TV complaining that they can't get out and "it's not my responsibility".

I have spent many hours as a youth clearing the driveway and sidewalk (pavement) from snow. Even used to charge the neighbours to clear theirs. I heard the state of Connecticut even banned people from driving on the roads so as to keep them clear for the plows. Imagine the uproar here if people were banned from the road no matter how stupid it would be to go out.
