7:00am Tuesday 19th February 2013 in News
An MP has launched a petition calling for a thorough review of the cost-effectiveness of the country’s current drug laws.

Surely publically supporting their own polices is acceptable behaviour for a political party?!

But you want to play the adage game? You bid 'a drop in the ocean' and I offer 'look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves.'

Oh don't get me wrong. No problem with them standing by their policies. I object to the attempt to use public funding at such a time as this.

I am of the opinion the current law drugs are outdated and a waste of money and resources, so now's precisely the time to review and rethink them.

So ... at a time when services are being cut, the NHS is being squeezed and low earning people are in danger of being penalised for having a bedroom for the children they have joint custody for the Greens want to spend public funding on reviewing a law ...
Whilst I personally agree with many of the points the Greens make regarding the reality of Drug use and abuse, I think the timing to divert public funding to further their own policies smacks of misuse of public funds.
