Mystery kisser hunted by police

A mystery man tried to force a woman to kiss him before running off.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault on a 29-year-old woman who was approached in Pevensey Road, St Leonards-on-Sea, on Thursday February 7.

The victim was walking alone when the assault took place at 6pm.

A man stopped and spoke to the woman. He then tried to kiss her but she rejected his advances by pushing him away. The man then ran away back up Pevensey Road.

The woman received no injuries but felt shaken by what happened.

The suspect is described as male, aged 40, 5' 9" of stocky build and with dark short cropped hair. He had short facial stubble.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call 101 quoting serial 1390 of 9/2. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Mystery kisser implies someone trying to peck you on the cheek, rather than the assault that happened here.
