Burglar who was wanted on recall to prison arrested in Peacehaven
A burglar who was wanted for recall to prison has been arrested following a tip off from a member of the public.
An appeal was put out by Sussex Police yesterday (Monday) asking for the whereabouts of the 24-year-old man.
Police received a call at 1am on Tuesday, February 26 and the man was arrested at an address in Peacehaven at 1.45am. He will be recalled to prison.
He was wanted for breach of licence conditions having originally been sentenced to three years' imprisonment at Lewes Crown Court in January 2011 for burglary in Peacehaven, assault in Seaford, theft in London and for breaching a suspended sentenced.
PC Jon Attfield said: "We would like to thank the public for their swift response which has resulted in the arrest of the man. We were able to get the appeal out quickly yesterday thanks to social media."
