Bognor man on attempted murder charge

A 24-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a man's throat was cut with a knife.
Police were called to an address in Collyer Avenue just after 11am on Sunday, February 17, to a report that a 35-year old man had been slashed across the neck.
The victim was taken to St Richards Hospital in Chichester to be treated for the wound, and has since been discharged.
Joel Reed, 24, of Old Coastguards, Bognor, is due to appear in custody at Chichester Magistrates Court on Wednesday February 27.
His mother, Emma Reed, 42, of Felpham Road, Bognor, has been charged with assisting an offender and is due to appear on bail at Chichester Magistrates Court on 20 March.
