A charity is hoping its next fundraising campaign will be a piece of cake.
Children’s charity Rockinghorse, based in Preston Road, is looking to find the next Delia Smith or Paul Hollywood in its Big Brighton Bake Off competition.
The charity is inviting schools, businesses and groups to bake their favourite home-made treat. The winners will see their tasty work entered into the grand final at the Live Food Show on March 29.
Gift shop purple-heart.com in North Street held its internal competition on Monday, February 25.
Claudia Fisher’s four-tier red velvet creation, with cheesecake in the middle and vanilla buttercream, scooped the top prize. A spokeswoman from the shop said: “We had a great day and it was lots of fun.”
