Raids following death of Eastbourne man

Seven people were arrested after police carried out ten warrants in Eastbourne.
The raids took place following the death of Eastbourne man Chris Poole.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of class B drugs from Carisbrooke Close.
A 49-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs and a large amount of cannabis has been seized from an address in Percival Road.
A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs and cannabis seized from Penhurst Close.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs and drugs seized from Linden Close.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods after a stolen motorbike was found in Fountains Close.
A 35-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of possession of class A and B drugs after drugs were found at an address in Fountains Close.
A 43-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking offences following a seizure of a large amount of class B drugs were found in an address in Chyngton Close.
A warrant was also conducted at Golden Gate Way and a quantity of drugs were seized.
District Commander Chief Inspector Steve Biglands said: "Officers have been gathering information about drugs in the Hydneye Estate in the Hampden Park area of the town following concerns from residents about crime in the area especially after the death of Chris Poole in August last year. This is also something residents have been bringing to the attention of our Neighbourhood Policing Teams.”
