Mother's tribute to ambulance crash victim Gary Tucker
The mother of a man who was killed in an ambulance crash has said she “cannot contemplate a future without him”.
Pamela Tucker, 73, paid tribute to her son Gary Tucker, 45, who was killed after the car he was driving was struck by a South East Coast Ambulance en route to an emergency call.
Mr Tucker, of Longridge Avenue, Saltdean, died at the scene of the collision in Marine Drive, Brighton, at 10.40pm on Thursday.
Yesterday Mrs Tucker said: “I am absolutely devastated by my loss.
“He was a wonderful, loving, kind and caring person and the best son that anyone could ever wish for. Everyone who knew him will miss him dearly. He was my world and I cannot even contemplate a future without him.”
For more tributes see tomorrow’s Argus.

Ambulance drivers are nearly as bad as taxi drivers at times!I had the occasion of being cut up badly by an "out of control" ambulance driver, supposedly on the way to an emergency.I was lucky enough to survive the incident to complain about it,only to be told that they didn't know which ambulance would have been in the area at the time and they could not investigate.Complete mince, but that's what their response was to my complaint. They've probably added me to their do not respond list as well.
