Man killed in Beachy Head fall

The body of a man has been recovered from the foot of cliffs.

It was found at the bottom of Beachy Head yesterday at 2pm.

Sussex Police said: “Police attended Beachy Head shortly after midday after a man had been seen near to the end of the cliffs.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed.”

A South East Coast Ambulance spokesman said: "At about 12.20pm we received a call to Belle Vue Lighthouse in Beachy Head Road.

"One ambulance attended the scene to reports someone had fallen from the cliffs.

Very sad. May I just say it's probably The Belle Tout lighthouse.

Very sad that folk feel this is the only course of action they can take. Nothing is so bad that it cannot be, at the very least, managed, leading to a resolution given time, understanding and patience.

Sometimes there is no choice. If you live with the chronic pain which has no cure you just want to end it. Surgeon messed up up my knee and now I have to live with this pain. I have been thinking about jumping too, I feel like have no choice.

You do have a choice. And options. They are out there to find.

I suffered extreme pain for 3 months. I waited 7 weeks for an operation, only for it to be cancelled due to lack of bed/s for another 16 days.
RSCH knew I was in a distressed state, but did nothing, leaving it to Haywards Heath.
Bar doing the op myself!- what else could I do?
Beachy Head crossed my mind most days after cancelled op, believe me.

Thankfully, I've just had my operation, and I'm just trying to get back to a " normal life" pain free, though I probably suffered a break-down that hasn't been picked up on.
The worst 3 months of my 56 years for sure.

RIP to the person who sadly took his life.
