Novel ideas used to mark World Book Day
School staff came up with novel ideas to celebrate World Book Day.
Children from Mile Oak School in Graham Avenue, Portslade, dressed up as book covers and there were some very innovative ideas.
Youngsters came as their favourite covers from across literature.
Deputy head Martin Cooper said: “Everybody always dresses as a character so we dressed up as covers.
“We had Harry Potter, The Hobbit, Jacqueline Wilson books, We Are
Going On A Bear Hunt and others.”
Children in Early Years at Vale School in Worthing spent the day dressed in their pyjamas and enjoyed bedtime stories from their favourite books.
And author Polly Dunbar was at Jubilee Library in Brighton where she read to pupils from St Paul’s School.
