Road closures: UPDATE

Conditions are slowly beginning to improve on the county's roads although drivers are warned to take extra care and only travel if necessary.

The A259 is closed between Seaford and Eastbourne and there are hazardous driving conditions due to ice and snow

The A29 at Bury is blocked due to snow and ice

Driving conditions are also hazardous on the A23 and M23 although delays are reported to be clearing.

The A22 Lewes Road at Forest Row and Whitcross is blocked and hazardous driving conditions due to ice.

Conditions are also poor on the A280 Long Furlong between Patching to Findon.
