Hospitals in West Sussex now running normally following earlier snow disruption
12:18pm Tuesday 12th March 2013 in News
All Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust services are now operating as usual despite the continuing disruption to travel being caused by snow.
Outpatient clinics at Worthing Hospital and Southlands Hospital in Shoreham were affected for a time this morning but are now able to offer all scheduled appointments as usual.
However, patients should continue to follow Sussex police advice and travel only if it is safe to do so.
St Richard's Hospital in Chichester has not been affected.
Anyone who needs to cancel their outpatient appointment are asked to follow the instructions on their appointment letter.
They are being asked to only call the main hospital number if they eed to speak to someone urgently, as the switchboard is currently experiencing a very high volume of calls.
Hospital bosses are apologising for any delay people may experience in getting through.
