Man hurt as robbers steal his iPhone 5 in Crawley

A manwas chased and kicked in a robbery.

The 20-year-old victim had his iPhone 5 stolen as he walked home in Holbein Road, Crawley, at 5.50pm on March 7.

He noticed he was being followed by two men who shouted and chased him leading him to run and fall over.

On trying to get up was kicked and a felt a knee push on his back. The men then went through his trouser pockets and took his mobile phone before running off into Gainsborough Road towards the playing fields.

The men are described as in their mid 20s. One was white, about 6ft and skinny wearing a grey hoodie and jeans.

The other was black, shorter and stocky wearing a black jumper and had a chin strap style beard with no moustache.

DC Kai Murray said: “This was a frightening ordeal but fortunately the victim suffered only a bitten tongue in the incident.

“The two men together are quite distinctive and we hope that someone may recognise them.”
