Apprentice hopefuls have been hearing about opportunities in the city.
City College Brighton and Hove hosted a ‘Meet the Apprentices’ recruitment event at its City Skills and Jobs Shop on Queens Road.
The Argus has teamed up with the college in Pelham Street to get employers to take on more apprentices.
The apprentices were looking for a range of vacancies in areas including accounting, business administration, IT, hospitality, care and construction.
Three of the college’s ‘star’ apprentices – Charlie Reed, Josh Kyriacous and Kimberley Burns – were on hand to chat to aspiring apprentices about the difference an apprenticeship has made to them.
City College is working in partnership with The Argus to create more apprenticeship opportunities in Brighton and Hove.
The aim of the 25 in five campaign is to encourage at least 25 employers to make a commitment to take on an apprentice during the five days of Apprenticeship Week.
If you’re an employer interested in apprentices, call 01273 667756 or email apprenticeship@ccb.ac.uk.
